Sneaking in the woods...

Changes!

Right now the page is under a bit of construction! I'm trying out a new template...
And I think I'm almost there! This one features a lot more layout-options than the earlier ones.

New additions under way!

First out, I have added some more paint to my Captain. I also added a nice little piece of green leaves on his head. And a shot from the side, with the servoskulls. As you can see the sword is not finished yet. And the cloak needs highlights.

The Captain will also get a command squad with a Champion and some Vets. I'm also working on a fitting Company standard.
I've also been working on some Heavy Support for the army. Some Devestators with 2 Lascannons and 2 Heavy Bolters. I'm also thinking about adding some more Marines to this squad.

Until I can get my hands on some Landspeeder Storm-kits I think the next step will be to add a close-combat-squad.

First battle! Defeat!

Finaly I had a chance to bring my Raptors to the battle. 1000 pts of Space Marines against 1000 pts of Orks. It was an all-out battle with the defeat of my beloved Raptors Chapter Space Marines. The hero of the day was my Captain who brought down more than his fair share of orks in close-combat. Close-combat was the key to the orks success, as always. All of my reinforcements came into play, made a kill, or in the case of the Devestators Lascannons two, then were cut down by assualting Orks.
Well, well, it was a fun game. And I learned lots of stuff tonight. And I'm looking forward for a rematch against the Orks!

Space Marines: 0 - Orks: 1.

The captain

Here I'm working on the Space Marine Captain. Right now it's all flat colours, before I start to add a bit of wash and a bit of high-lights to the armor etc.

Later on he is also getting his own entourage, a HQ squad with a standard, vets, champion and medic.

The Deathguards of Plasticfish

I rounded up all of my Chaos stuff that I had laying around at home. And this was the result. It's mostly from my Deathguard army, but also some Guard Renegades and my Nurgling Baneblade.

A bit of a close-up view of the troops. 4 teams, with 6 Plaguemarines and an Aspiring Chamption in each of them. The ones on the right were modeled to be Possessed space marines from the old codex. Since the Possessed no longer has any ranged or close combat weapons they have been taken up as regular Plaguemarines.

A team of Havocs mounted in a Rhino.
The latest addition to the DeathGuard army are these Chosen, walking under the banner of Nurgle and armed with a Lascannon. The only one in the army, except for the Baneblade...

Some Guard renegades. I did build and paint these just for the fun of it. The ones on the right consist mostly of Warhammer Fantasy parts (Imperial Militias) and some spare Imperial Guard parts. A fun and workable combination of parts. The rest are a combination of Cadian and Catachan parts.

You can never have to much Chaos in your collection...

The "Ground punisher", part 3.

The ground punisher or the Cube of Redemption. I silly project that I just couldn't put down once I got the original ideas. Right now it looks kind of flimsy but that might have something to o with the fact that it's just a mock-up right now. It hasn't been glued together just yet! And there are also a lot of gaps that I will have to GS before I add some more details and start the painting!

A bit of a close up on the sponson and the cannon. As I said in a previous post, this build takes care of a lot of Baneblade parts that I had laying around at home. Here you see one of the two sponsons with a twin linked Heavy Flamer.
The top of the cube with its big cannon, and a granade-throwing guardsman sticking out of the turret. The gun is mounted in a forward position and is not going to be able to turn around.
The front turret is mounted under the drivers and consists of a twinlinked Heavy Bolter.
The back of the cube will have a small deck where inquisitorial stormtroopers will be able to pick of attackers from the rear, as the "Cube" slowly floats over the battlefield!
